$32K Raised at 17th Annual Golf Classic

Newsletter: September 2020

Friends & colleagues,

Reflecting on last week’s experience at our 17th Annual Charity Golf Classic, Kelly and I are amazed and so grateful for the kindness and generosity shown for a great cause. We can all agree that 2020 has been a unique and challenging year. Last week’s experience warmed our hearts that so many folks found it important to contribute financial and time resources to make our event a success…for others in greater need than ourselves. It proves the power of human kindness, empathy and action is alive and well.

I’m proud to announce that, thanks to the efforts of our golfers and sponsors, this year’s Golf Classic had another record year of donation. Our participants exceeded our fundraising expectations by raising $26,000 for Uplift Family Services at Hollygrove. What an incredible achievement!

Kelly (CBT Founder and CEO) was so moved by those efforts that she’s decided to contribute an additional $6,000 to the cause. This brings us to $32,000 total raised, matching our highest contribution to Hollygrove ever and taking the tournament’s lifetime contributions to over $300,000. That would be considered an overwhelming success on any occasion, but to reach that milestone this year is truly exceptional. Thank you Kelly!

I am humbled to have been surrounded by such good and generous people. Thank you again to those that went out of their way to help those in need.

Stay safe and healthy and see you next year!
Rob Schaeffer, President
