With the New Year comes the chance to reinvent and redefine. Welcome to the New CBT! At CBT, we’ve taken this opportunity to carefully consider the core values that exemplify our team personally and professionally and channeled our discoveries into the improvement of the business, on behalf of both our employees and our customers. These improvements manifested in two key areas:
- A reinvigorated brand that encapsulates CBT’s mission to deliver technology with a human touch
- A state-of-the-art new office space that gives our team the energy to deliver excellence on a daily basis

Our 2020 rebrand marks our evolution from CB Technologies to CBT. The name CB Technologies represented the humble value-added reseller launched in a spare bedroom by Founder and CEO Kelly Ireland. Today we are CBT, still driven by the core values that fueled our early success, but now representing an award-winning domain expert integrator and trusted IT solutions provider with a roster of Fortune 50 companies and global partners.
In the last year, we’ve been honored by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) as an inaugural member of HPE’s Channel to Edge Institute and taken the lead role alongside HPE at Texmark Chemicals’ Refinery of the Future. We’ve been named to three consecutive IoT Innovators Award lists by CRN and joined an elite subset of solution providers by twice winning their Triple Crown Award. Boeing has recognized CBT with nine consecutive Performance Excellence Awards and we’ve earned several accolades for our significant financial growth. In addition, we’ve added substantially to our robust roster of strategic partners with companies such as PTC, RealWear, National Instruments, Dell, Intel, OSNEXUS, NVIDIA, Splunk and many more. With these humbling successes in mind, we sought to find a brand that reflected both the core values on which we were built and our newfound leadership and influence in the industry.

In addition to technology innovation, CBT exemplifies innovations in such categories as the Future of Work, Philanthropy, and Community Building. In 2020, we are launching our inaugural scholarship-to-hire program, supporting university students from severely underprivileged backgrounds with full ride scholarships and the opportunity to intern at CBT’s headquarters in Orange, CA. ABOUT THE LOGO
The original CBT logo symbolized the core value of working together to achieve success. The new CBT logo and rebrand (led by Oblique Design) represents the spirit of all our core values, our forward-thinking nature and drive to deliver the most innovative solutions. It encapsulates our unwavering dedication to outside-the-box problem solving and solution design, achieved through teamwork and partnership with similarly-driven industry thought leaders.
The logo mark, seen launching skyward, epitomizes our progressive nature and drive to deliver the most innovative IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) solutions. Each of the two brackets of the logo mark symbolize the partnership between the Company and our customers as we strive to take your projects from ideas to execution. The blue bracket points forward to show the promise of the future, while the purple bracket points back to our rock solid, 20-year foundation. The ball in the middle is a representation of the strategic, one-of-a-kind solutions we develop. Finally, the lowercase font and the slant of the “b” convey approachability and a flexible nature, emphasizing the importance of our relationships and people-first approach to business.
THE NEW OFFICE
When Kelly founded CB Technologies in 2001, she had a few key goals in mind: deliver a unique customer experience through best-in-class customer service, and provide a fun, nurturing environment for our team. She knew that if her employees were treated with kindness and respect, they would pass it along to our customers.
The new office is about exactly those values. As our leadership team worked on the new brand, they realized our modernization as a company warranted an upgrade in scenery. So, in 2020 we’re starting off with a fresh, inspiring new home in which the CBT family can continue to grow and excel. After all, happy employees make for happy customers!
